SG-40

Used for glass partition projects where visual transparency, clean lines, and lightweight space division are the main priorities. Common configuration directions include 10 mm or 12 mm single glazing, but the final selection should still be evaluated based on project conditions.

SG-86

As the mainstream evaluation route for most office and commercial interior projects, SG-86 can support glass, solid panels, wood finishes, steel panels, or mixed configurations. It is suitable for meeting rooms, offices, education office spaces, and standard commercial interiors.

SG-100

Designed for interior partition projects that require a stronger system presence, a higher-privacy direction, full-height conditions, or project-specific technical review. Where fire-related, acoustic, full-height, or other project-specific technical requirements are involved, the exact configuration should be further evaluated based on drawings, space use, evidence scope, and project requirements.

For sound insulation or privacy needs, the review should consider the glass or panel configuration, door systems, seals, ceiling and floor conditions, installation quality, and possible sound leakage paths. Test reports should match the specific configuration and test scope.

Fire-Rated Requirements

For fire-resistance duration or public space requirements, confirmation should be based on the complete system configuration, test scope, target fire-resistance duration, and local project requirements. It cannot be judged from the fire performance of a single material alone.

The following questions can help avoid treating demountable walls as traditional fixed walls, load-bearing walls, universal acoustic systems, or fire-rated systems by default.

  1. Is a demountable wall a load-bearing wall?

    A demountable wall should be understood as a modular, non-load-bearing interior partition system. It should not be used as a building load-bearing wall, exterior wall, or façade system.

  2. Is it the same as a traditional drywall partition?

    Not exactly. Traditional drywall partitions are usually fixed, site-built walls, while demountable walls focus on system-based components, planned installation, and removal or reconfiguration under suitable project conditions.

  3. Are all demountable walls soundproof?

    Not by default. Acoustic performance depends on the system design, the connection between glass or panels and frames, door sealing, ceiling and floor interfaces, site installation quality, and possible sound leakage paths.

  4. Are all systems fire-rated?

    Not by default. Fire-rated requirements should be evaluated based on the wall assembly design, applicable fire-rated components or materials, the complete configuration, test scope, and project requirements. They cannot be inferred from a single material or component.

  5. Can CAD, BIM, or certificates be downloaded directly?
