SG-40 is better suited for transparent glass zoning at standard office heights. The recommended height is 2400 mm (H), with the current maximum recommended height at 3000 mm (H). Projects above 3000 mm should be evaluated based on glass size, profile thickness, ceiling / floor conditions, and actual site conditions.
Does SG-40 have a fixed acoustic rating?
Relevant SG-40 material test reports may provide reference test data of around STC 40. If the project has acoustic or speech privacy targets, laminated glass should be evaluated, with special attention given to the door system, sealing method, and sealing treatment around the ceiling, floor, door area, and other perimeter interfaces.
Is SG-40 a fire-rated partition by default?
